Multi-purpose Garage, The Making

One day, as we were sitting on our multi-purpose garage last summer, one of our neighbors stopped-by and said, “You’ve done a very good job in this project”. He meant that the multi-purpose garage we built  was really a very good idea.

It was a lot of  hard work and patience as we built that project. It is quite a huge area of almost 60 square meters. It is not only use as garage for our two cars but also a patio where you can sit back and relax during summer days. It is where we also held  gatherings, parties and celebrations. During winter time, we don’t need to worry anymore because our cars are already under the roof and are now protected from snow.

I could still remember when we started digging the ground because we have to level it with the street. We hired a company who has a skip business to dig, store  and put away all the soils and stones in the area where the multi-purpose garage is located now.

Our multi-purpose garage is almost done.

It was like building a house where you need to dig the foundation. You will surely need a skip to dump all the waste, soils and other materials.  We hired a company to gather all the waste we had during the building. We are very happy and contented with this project of ours.  There is only one more thing  we need to do. Next year, we need to put  some sorts of clear  sidings around its sides except for the entrance.

Life  becomes  more easy and convenient when you have a beautiful place to stay. Right folks?

As part of the Proven Professional exam program, EMC’s CLARiiON solutions test, the E20-522 exam, measures your competence in administrating storage solutions in the CLARiiON family of products. “Every man should be born again on the first day of January.
Start with a fresh page.
Take up one hole more in the buckle if necessary,
or let down one, according to circumstances;
but on the first of January let every man gird himself once more,
with his face to the front,
and take no interest in the things that were and are past.”
~Henry Ward Beecher

Happy Holidays Everyone!

It is the 4th Sunday of Advent today.
The waiting is almost over and Christmas will be here.
Let me greet everyone
a Merry Christmas
and a bountiful New Year 2013!
All the best in this holiday season..
God bless us all!

“I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round, as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys.” ~Charles Dickens

More Christmas Decors

Before I put up my Christmas tree, I decided to buy new sets of  balls to  hang on it. I decided to put shades of gold, red and also white and silver colours.

I also put up our old  little  Christmas tree in our patio. Christmas season always reminds me of home but I have to accept the fact that I can also celebrate it  with family and friends in  second home here in Europe.

For next year’s  holiday season, I would love to decorate more  because I bought some more  Christmas balls that are on sale. What a really great deal we had yesterday.

Happy holidays to all!

Christmas Tree is Up!

Hello December!  I can already  feel  the spirit of the  holiday season. This morning when I was taking my teatime, I heard  some Christmas songs played over the radio.  Oh yes, I still listen to the radio everyday especially when I am cooking in our kitchen.

And finally, after some days and weeks of busyness,  our Christmas tree is finally up!  Last month was really a busy month. With all the home improvements that we  are doing from time to time,  our little home will be a more comfortable place to live in.

After  the renovation of our bathroom, I started to put- up  our Christmas tree. This time, I just hung red, gold and white Christmas balls. It is a simply tree but I am happy to always see it everyday before Christmas days comes.  I always miss home during Christmas. There is the best  place to celebrate it.

Her eis my simply Christmas tree this year! Happy Holidays!

A Career to Remember

I am  asking myself sometimes if I miss my job as a banker. Do I? I can say, yes, sometimes. I actually had an early retirement that time. After  around 9 years of serving Equitable PCIBank, now Banco de  Oro or BDO, I have to quite my job and applied for an early retirement. I was so thankful that it was granted  and I received a lump sum amount to start a new life. Oh well not really starting a new life but during that time, I was waiting for my visa to join my husband to be abroad.

That amount of money I received from my retirement was put up as a capital in a merchandising business. That way, I was able to help my family especially my siblings in sending to school.

Garden Projects for Next Year

I am thankful that during the past months of 2012, we had accomplished a lot. Minor and major renovation in our home and garden were done and some are just started.

In the coming year 2013, we plan to finish other home and garden projects. Here are some in our list;

Garden House– We still have a little space left for a garden house. I only have plants and flowers in our garden but if we will build a garden house next year, I would surely plant organic vegetables like tomatoes, cucumber, eggplant, beans and others.

Garden Lights and Lighting– Since we built our patio, I have no idea where did I put our solar lights for our garden. I guess they are not working anymore because they already obsolete. I am planning to buy new ones next year.

Fish Tank– I have a big one of this in my home country. If we are done with our bathroom and kitchen renovations early next year, I would love to buy a little fist tank with maybe around 30-40 litres size. I saw one in my friend’s house last month and it reminds me of the one I have back home. Watching the fishes swimming and the accessories inside feel so relaxing.

Garden Furniture– We have a garden set but it is made of plastic. We are planning to replace it with wooden garden furniture. I hope this will be materialized next year. When most of  our major projects are done, for sure we can buy a better one.

A garden pond that I am wishing to have in our garden.

The Colors of Autumn

Autumn? Oh yes, it is still autumn season in Europe! Others call  it fall season. It is probably because most leaves are falling from the trees during this time.

What do you observe during autumn?
-The weather is getting colder.
-The sky is grey and dark sometimes.
-The day is shorter.
– The night is longer.
– The trees around are turning its color from green to yellow, golden brown, red, orange, pink and so on and so forth.

What I do during autumn?
-I always love to eat when it is cold. Not really good for me..lolz!
-I don’t want to go out unless needed like running errands or go grocery shopping.
-I still go for a walk sometimes when it is not raining.
-I have more time to go online and do blogging. I simply love to blog.
-I always miss the tropical weather in my home country. I truly miss the blue sky, blue sea and the sunset and of course my family, most of all!

I still see the beauty of autumn despite being cold and grey. Cheers everyone! This world is so beautiful!

The road where I always drive.
I took a stop when I saw this falling colorful leaves. I love it!
In the neighborhood  somewhere in Bavaria, Germany  as we had a walk  during a beautiful autumn day.

Shopping for Garden Furniture

This is not really the season to shop for garden furniture. Spring and summer is over in Europe and we are currently having autumn season. I believed most most of your garden furniture are stored now inside  your home especially if you don’t have a covered patio or terrace.

We are lucky that our multi-purpose garage which is also use as a terrace or working area, is almost dome now. We already have a roof on top of it  and temporary  sidings as well. We are hoping to finish it next spring season. By that time, we might already purchase some garden accessories that we needed in it.

There are a lot of shops where we can buy furniture and accessories for our garden. Whether we are looking for home storage, garden dining sets, garden sofa sets, garden loungers or any other form of garden accessories, there are a lot of stores and shops where we can find it.

One of the most convenient place to shop for these is online. For example,  if you want to get some ideas on what furniture to buy, browsing at the comfort of your home is well recommended.

I guess,  I found the right site to shop  for garden furniture and accessories.  I love especially the  Kingston 6 Seat Rectangular Dining Sets. With its  brown  rattan chairs and all weather tables, this is perfect for our garden. I have to  ask my boss if we can buy this set of garden furniture  before spring comes.

Feel free to browse their site if you are looking for a  perfect garden furniture. For sure, you will love this site.
