It is almost three years now since I visited United States of America. I stayed most of the time in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was one of the most memorable vacation that I had. First and foremost, it seems that I had a luxury accommodation during that two months holiday. I miss those times and I hope to visit United States in the future.
One of the sights we visited was Lake Mead, the largest reservoir in the United States. It is located on the Colorado River in the states of Nevada and Arizona. It is formed by water impounded by the Hoover Dam, a wonder of human engineering that I ever seen.
This lake was named after Elwood Mead, who commissioned the planning and construction of the Boulder Canyon Project that created the dam and lake.
Nature’s beauty like Lake Mead is always pleasing for me. I love watching bodies of water and I always appreciate nature like this. It was truly a wonderful trip to Lake Mead and Hoover Dam last 2008.
Last but not the least, I also had a wonderful time going around the super luxury hotels and accommodation in Las Vegas. Some of which include Caesars Palace, The Ballys, The Venetian, Excalibur, Planet Hollywood, Wynn, Mirage and other luxury hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada. I love it!
I personally took this image during our visit to Lake Mead last 2008.

I love this flower! It is called Bromeliad or Bromeliaceae. It belongs to the family of Ananas or pineapples. Bromeliads are a varied group of organisms, adapted to a number of climates. Foliage take different shapes, from needle thin to broad and flat, symmetrical to irregular, spiky and soft. The foliage, which usually grows in a rosette, is the most widely patterned and colored of any plant in the world. Leaf colors range from maroon, through shades of green, to gold. Varieties may have leaves with red, yellow, white and cream variegations. Others may be spotted with purple, red, or cream, while others have different colors on the tops and bottoms of the leave.
I have hundreds of these before in my garden back home. I only took this image in one of the garden centers nearby.

It seemst that spring is coming soon. I am hoping. Here are some images I am sharing for the beautiful memes that this blog is joining.
the walls in Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Bavaria, Germany. This town is called the “Christmas town” of Germany because you can see and buy Christmas decors in most of the shops here all year round.

Hello February! Goodbye January! I hope you are having a good start of February. So far, I have nothing to complain. I just hope that this month will be a better month especially for a dear loveone.
Anyway, let me share these images taken from last week. These are winter snapshots nearby. The first image was taken during our walk last Friday. The second one was taken as we drove to the nearby town for hubby’s appointment to the doctor.
I love the snow in winter but I guess we already had that much last December. I can’t wait till the next spring is coming.
the small river near our place where we always do some walking. notice that small walking way on the right side?
the snow is slowly melting.. It seems that there is a lake forming in here. We had some flooding in the nearby towns and villages two weeks ago especially those who live near the rivers.

These are images taken around two years ago. We had a walk that summer time in this place and it was a very wonderful experience seeing nature around.
the hills in Hohenfels, Germany
dried hays were made ready for the winter. These are the food for the animals during winter season. Not really a lot of work for the farmers because they are using farm equipments to roll these.

I got here different images taken in different time and place. The first image was taken during our visit to Heidelberg, a very beautiful and romantic city in German State of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The second image was taken in Rhorbach in Bavaria, Germany. Last but not the least, this was taken from our garden. We had a visitor, the cat’s neighbor.
Heidelberg — having been a former residence of the Electoral Palatinate in the past — is the seat of the University of Heidelberg which is well-known far beyond Heidelberg’s and Germany’s borders. Furthermore, Heidelberg is a popular tourist destination due to its romantic and picturesque cityscape’s character including the Heidelberg Castle and the baroque style Old Town.

we had a visitor in our garden, the cat’s neighbor. sometimes he is so bad because he pees around our garden. that is the reason why I cannot plant vegetables in our garden.

It’s been a long time since I did not posted about my favorite memes. Life is sometimes so busy. From now on, I will be joining these beautiful memes again. Here is my first entry for this year.
Below is a Lily flower taken from our garden last summer 2010.
Lilium is a genus of herbaceous flowering plants growing from bulbs. Most species are native to the temperate northern hemisphere. They comprise a genus of about 110 species in the lily family (Liliaceae).
this is where we always go walking especially during summer season.
